Travels

These are a selection of paintings that are inspired by my travels to mediterranean countries. As an artist I am mostly inspired by light and colour. I am also facinated by old streets, particularly old doors and windows. They hold many secrets from times past and combined with floral displays conjure for me something magical and engaging. To enhance this sense of age I use alot of textures in tandem with a looser approach of painterly application to create a more tactile experience with these pieces. I’m really enjoying the freedom and fun of painting these and i hope you enjoy viewing them.
